About
Massoud — Founder & Head Coach
Skiing has been the constant thread throughout my life.
I am a ski coach with a systems-based approach shaped by formal training in computer engineering and business administration, and professional experience across technical and leadership roles. I have skied since a young age, but my development did not follow a traditional athlete pathway.
Over time, I came to understand that athleticism is not optional at higher levels of skiing—it is an enabler. When fitness is neglected, it becomes a limiter. When it is developed intentionally, it unlocks technical progress, consistency, and durability on snow.
My coaching focuses on long-term skill acquisition rather than short-term performance gains. Fitness supports learning rather than replacing technique, and intensity is applied deliberately, with careful attention to movement quality, nervous-system freshness, and sustainable progress.
I primarily work with motivated, thoughtful skiers—often experienced recreational skiers or coaches—who want clarity, structure, and a development process they can trust. Many have succeeded in other areas of life and are now choosing to invest in their health, their skiing, and a more aligned version of themselves.
True North exists to provide continuity, honest guidance, and a clear developmental trajectory—so progress holds up not just for a strong week, but over years.
